Well, we get to the stadium, pass the checkpoints, get Baby Bull a new wool cap, get to our seats, sing The Star-Spanged Banner, sit down, and hear the announcer say, "The temperature is 29, wind chill 22, winds out of the north at 10-15 miles an hour." (Temps in fahrenheit.) So we did what all good football fans do: we cheered.
Michigan State lost to Purdue, but it was the best game of the year to watch. Very evenly matched, final score 45-42. Now the Bowl issue is settled: we won't be going. And we can settle down to rebuilding for next year. There is a lot of talent on that field.
